This work was created for the 2025 Sikka Festival in Dubai. I was interested in creating what could be simply called clouds, but I wanted them to be specifically unreal in appearance. After only living in UAE for a short time, I was surprised at how much everything felt like a facade. I started thinking about these religious paintings I had seen where the clouds felt so majestic and magical, I wanted to create similar clouds, but wanted them to feel a bit uncanny and strange. Materially, the Cinema 4D renders were edited and printed, affixed to CNC cut board, then surfaced with layers of resin and paint, then sanded.
