New Faculty Show

The work is from the exhibition New Faculty at Florida Atlantic University. I was interested in the notion of the facade. For example, the video work captures a speaker that is located on campus. Each day, on the hour, the speaker tolls with the sound of bells. The idea is, I am assuming, as if FAU had a bell tower, like that of an ivy league college or university that has a history long enough to have needed a bell tower...this is Florida in a nutshell IMO.
